About Me

I am a first year doctoral student and am so ready to begin this journey.  I am currently a Distinguished Teacher in Residence at CSUSM, on loan from the Escondido Union High School District.  I teach in the Single Subject program with a fabulous team and supervise teacher credential candidates.  I absolutely love my job!

My background as a bilingual teacher and human relations facilitator has led me to be an advocate for emerging bilingual students and a supporter of biliteracy.

I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful girls.  There are many sayings and quotes that help guide me, one that seems fitting as this part of my professional development begins is, "journey over destination."
